Rayavaram is a small village in Pudukottai, Tamilnadu state, India.

Rayavaram is situated between 10°14'58.59"N Latitude and 78°48'44.16"E Longitude.It is a small hamlet in Pudukottai District.It is 72 km south of Trichy and 90 km North of Madurai.The nearest town Pudukottai 18 km far.The closest Airport is Trichy. It consists of Pudur,Palayaoor ,Alangudi Chettipatti,Chellayeepuram,Chockalingapuram and Vasugipuram. It has s Sivan Kovil,Muthumarriamman temple,Malaikoluntheeswarar temple.It has several Oorani(Small tanks) and Kanmai(Vast spans of water storage) like Rayavaram Kanmai,Chettipatti Kanmai , Palayaoorni,Puduroorani and Nallanchetti Oorni, Olvangathan,Ponchi and Olvangathan. It has nagarthar population .The main families are MAM,PV ,SMPL,MVALN and many more groups. It has two banks,ICICI and Pandyagramma Bank.The Educational institutions are SKT Gandhi High school and Subramanian Polytechnic College([1]).It has a two Kalyana Mandapams. It is well connected by road and has at least 75 buses covering Pudukottai,Karikudi,Pudukottai and Arimalam and Arinthangi. Rayavaram is the first village to permit low class people to allow entry to Temples. Vai-Govindan Chettiar is the First Tamil Publisher from this town.Its main economy is through agriculture.In the harvest season of May,Muthumariamman temple has a 10 day temple festival (Thirvilla).
