Kasper Dolberg (born 6 October 1997) is a Danish footballer who plays as a forward for Ajax Amsterdam.
Club career
Youth in Denmark
Dolberg started his football career at the age of 3 to 4 years, playing at in the local football club GFG Voel. During his start at GFG Voel, he helped the older teams when they had to play important matches. He left the club at the age of 12, to superliga side Silkeborg IF, where he was part of their talent development.
On 17 May 2015, he made his first-team debut in a league game against Brøndby IF replacing Adeola Lanre Runsewe after 63 minutes in a 0–2 home defeat.[1]
Ajax
On 5 January 2015, Ajax Amsterdam announced 17-year-old Dolberg would join from Silkeborg in the summer signing a three-year contract valid from summer 2015 till summer 2018.[2] He had been spotted by Danish scout John Steen Olsen, the same scout who discovered players like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Viktor Fischer, and Christian Eriksen for the Dutch capital club.[3]
On 13 May 2016, Dolberg agreed to have his contract extended until 2021.[4]
International career
Dolberg is a regular on the Danish U21 youth team.
