Bill Hillmann is an American author, storyteller, journalist, and bull-runner.

Writing

Hillmann is the author of The Old Neighborhood (Curbside Splendor 2014), Mozos: A Decade Running with the Bulls (Curbside Splendor 2015) which was translated and published in Spain as Corriendo Con Hemingway (Planeta 2016).

Hillmann is the creator of The Windy City Story Slam and has told stories on NPR's The Story and Snap Judgement[1]. Hillmann has written for NPR, The Toronto Star, Chicago Tribune, and Washington Post.

Bull-running

Hillmann has run with the bulls in Spain over 300 times and wrote a guide on how to survive the running of the bulls for Outside Magazine[2]. On July 9th 2014 in Pamplona Spain a bull named Brevito gored Hillmann twice in the thigh, news stories covering the incident spread globally.
