The Southern War or South Jakarta Campaign was a war between The Phoenician Republic and Bintaro Tribe against the Kemang Order, Mall Raiders and the Six Gangs, The war began when the Kemang Order and Mall Raiders attacked the western border of the Phoenix Republic in South Tangerang killing 65 Phoenician citizen and 9 soldiers and a few police officers only to be fought off by Lt. Pierce Soulsby's 1st Army and The National Guard, the Kemang order and Mall raiders suffered heavy casualties and those who survived fell back to their territories. The Order and the Mall Raiders hoped on taking out Phoenix swiftly but failed, they remained on the defensive for the remainder of the war. The Phoenician 1st army soon attacked and occupied the Mall later on during the year which alongside a military victory was also a political victory as David Crocker (the president of the Republic at the time) won a 2/3rds majority in the People's Representatives Congress. A few months after the capture of The Mall, Lt. Pierce Soulsby lead an invasion of the Ragunan, a community under the control of the Kemang Order. The community produced 8% of the Orders overall food supply, Pierce correctly assumed that if he took that land and set up a good defence he could draw the Order into a bloody one sided battle which would heavily damage the Order's militia. The Order, desperate to not lose a valuable food source launched a full scale counter attack hours after the 1st army took Ragunan; a well set up defence by Pierce managed to hold and repel the Order inflicting heavy casualties forcing them to withdraw from the fight. Phoenix would control Ragunan for months under occasional rocket attacks suffering minor casualties including one death days before the Order launched another major assault using
