Jank was an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed in 2015.

History

Jank formed in 2015, from the ashes of emo duo Panucci's Pizza[1] which broke up in 2015. Ex-Panucci's Pizza frontman Matt Diamond decided to start a band containing tongue in cheek lyrics, a departure from their emotionally sincere lyricism displayed with Panucci's Pizza. Spawned in the bowels of the Kensington, Philadelphia basement DIY scene, they released their first full-length album in November of the same year via Funeral Sounds and Honest Face Records.[2][3] In July 2016, Jank released a remixed version of their first album titled Awkward Chopped Songs.[4] Jank also released a new EP in July 2016 titled Versace Summer.[5][6][7]
