Saman Halgamuge is a Sri Lanka born academic who currently lives in Australia.[1]

Education

Saman Halgamuge received his primary and secondary education at Ananda College, Colombo, and gained admission to University of Moratuwa where he graduated with a degree in electronics and telecommunications. Later he gained admission to Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany to study masters and phd in electrical engineering and in 1994 he earned his doctorate in electrical engineering. He started his career as a lecturer in University of South Australia and then moved to University of Melbourne where he was the professor in mechanical engineering. Currently he is the professor and director of research School of engineering in Australian National University.[2]
