Speedy deletion nomination of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello. A tag has been placed on Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Hey! I must apologise for I wasn't aware of that particular Wikipedia criterion. While I'm not new to editing, I am not very familiar with HTML and how to contest this, given that someone has removed the speedy deletion tag. Does that mean that it doesn't have to be contested anymore? The only reason I added the page was because its about an organisation that is a charitable trust running more than 40 educational institutions, including some of the most prestigious colleges in Mumbai. It'd be great if you could help me out. Thank you!
- To be safe from future deletion requests, I suggest that you establish the subject's notability by citing news reports, books, etc. that support text in the article. You can also cite pages from sites like mithibai.ac.in which mention that the college is part of the SVKM group. Good luck.--Cpt.a.haddock (talk) (please ping when replying) 21:19, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Cpt.a.haddock: Hey! Thanks a lot. I just did that, added some links one expanded the article a little. I'll try adding some more soon. Ronakshah1990 14:01, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
Nalanda gallery
Hi, I've tried to improve some of the captions and have replaced a couple of the original images. Please take a look and please also trawl through the Nalanda images on Wikimedia Commons to find more suitable candidates or improve on the captions. Thanks.--Cpt.a.haddock (talk) (please ping when replying) 21:05, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Cpt.a.haddock: Hey! That's great, thank you! I'll try finding some other freely available images. I realised that after the Wiki Loves Monuments contest, a large number of pages had become like photo galleries with an excessive number of images – with watermarks, with people posing in them, low resolution, a lot of digital retouching, with colour filters, or just repetitive. And many pages had a a lot of images right in the middle of the article with poor formatting. I'm trying to clean up some of those when I find the time. Ronakshah1990 14:07, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Duleep Singh
Hello, Ronakshah1990 -- I was looking at your recent edit to Duleep Singh, and if you don't mind I'd like to mention something to you. You made two punctuation edits. The first one is, of course, absolutely correct, and your sharp eyes caught that punctuation error. The second one, in which you added a comma after "In 1856", is a matter of preference. I prefer generally not to use a comma after a short initial adverbial or prepositional phrase, and I would just like to attempt to persuade you to agree. As you can see in Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Commas (shortcut MOS:COMMA), "Modern writing uses fewer commas". Also, see these two exchanges on my own talk page:
- User talk:Corinne/Archive 20#Olivia de Havilland See Item 5 and Bede735's reply.
- User talk:Corinne/Archive 19#Byzantine–Bulgarian war of 913–927 See especially the last comment by Jonesey95 and, in the linked material, the second item. It is, of course, your choice. The important thing is consistency throughout the article. Best regards, – Corinne (talk) 19:17, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Corinne: Hey! Thank you for pointing that out and attaching links where I could read up on the issue. I wasn't aware of this modern preference for fewer punctuations; I'm more old school when it comes to that (just like I still prefer using hyphens). However, I do agree with you that an article as whole should be consistent within itself, even though it may not be so with other articles that follow other styles or may be in British/American English, and I'll keep that in mind when I'm making further edits on Wikipedia. – Ronakshah1990.

Murdeshwar
Respected Sir, I saw on Wikipedia Murudeshwara page that you had earlier participated in editing my hometown Murdeshwar. I request you to revisit the page and provide your expert comments about my new posting on the talk page of Murdeshwar. I am new to Wikipedia and do not know how to contact members for getting help. It is my earnest request to all experienced members of Wikipedia to help me in getting back the correct spelling of my home town. In my humble opinion, a mistake made by the first author should not be allowed to carry forward. Please take some time out of your busy schedule and help us.
