Mr. Blue Sky is a song by the rock group Electric Light Orchestra It was taken from the album Out of the Blue

It was released as a single in January 1978, in the UK and the USA, reaching number 6 in the UK and despite it being a much loved track it surprisingly only reached number 35 in the USA., released in 1977.

The song forms the fourth and last track on the Concerto for a Rainy Day suite on side three of the original two LP set. Reflecting Jeff Lynne's love of hidden messages, the coda to the song contains the barely discernable, heavily-vocoded words "Please turn me over". This message would make sense since on the 12" version of the album, it was the last song on the front side of the 2nd disc.
