Amanda Ayala is an American singer from New York who made her first appearance on the national scene on NBC's Emmy Award-winning show The Voice. Her first performance on the show was a rendition of Mississippi Queen by Mountain (band). Three out of the four judges on the panel turned their chairs for Amanda, including Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.[1][2] Ayala chose to join Team Adam where she was mentored by John Fogerty. Amanda also performed a rendition of Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks. Both of Ayala's singles charted on the iTunes Rock Charts. Her performances garnered attention from stars like Brad Paisley and Leslie West via Twitter. Her audition video has over 1.2 million views and counting.[3]

Early life

Amanda has began singing at the age of 3 and joined her first rock band at the age of 12. At 13 she and her band earned themselves a headlining show at New York City's oldest rock club, The Bitter End. As Ayala's voice matured she founded her own rock band and covered classic hits with a mix of originals throughout the tri-state area before she entered the national scene on television.

Career

After The Voice (U.S. TV series), Amanda's fan-base has steadily grown. She has sold out venues such as Daryl's House, The Chance Theater, and has performed at venues such as the Ridgefield Playhouse, Paramount Theatre[disambiguation needed], and many more. In July of 2016, Ayala won the Westchester "Battle of The Bands" contest and was selected to open for the Pleasantville Music Festival on the Capitol Theatre sponsored stage. The headlining acts included Grammy Award-winning artist KT Tunstall, along with the alternative rock band Guster.[4]

Amanda has served as a supporting act for many artists across all genres. Her first experience as support was at The Chance with rock band Blackfoot. Voice finalist Joshua Davis selected her to perform with him at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut.

In late 2016, Amanda earned herself an opening gig at the Annual Tuckahoe Music Festival which included freestyle acts like Sweet Sensation, Exposé and pop icon Taylor Dayne.[5] The event was hosted by radio host Al Bandiero, where more than 1,500 were in attendance. Taylor Dayne asked Ayala to join her on stage to perform the Billboard number one hit Love Will Lead You Back.

Some of Amanda's other successful shows include her concert with The Partridge Family star David Cassidy.[6] This concert was covered on TMZ due to Mr. Cassidy's outburst towards a fan in the audience.[7]

Ayala was selected to be opening act for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. The show sold out The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, New York.[8] She was also booked as a supporting act for Tony Harnell of TNT.

She is scheduled to open for American Idol winner Nick Fradiani at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut, on May 26, 2017.[9]

Amanda continues to headline her own shows and serving as a supporting act while she prepares to release her upcoming EP. Ayala's single title "Her." was released in late 2016 followed by a music video on Vevo in 2017.
