Prevalent POV on Global Warming

{unblock|He's the one pushing POV-see my talk page}

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Raul654 for the following reason (see our blocking policy): POV pushing on Jim Inhofe Your IP address is 141.197.12.183.

I see Raul654 loves to include POV and quickly silence those who disagree.

From the page [1], this is what I had a problem with:

  • There is no basis to conclude that there is a "scientific consensus" on global warming: "Inhofe is a strong critic of the scientific consensus that climate change is occuring as a result of human activities"
  • The placement of the graph on the right followed by a comment on Inhofe creates a POV. "Global average temperatures relative to the average of 1961-1990. Inhofe claims that "no meaningful warming has occurred over the last century"[9] On the talk page, under "bias in the article" everyone except Raul654 disagrees with the graph.

I've unblocked you. In my opinion, you just need a warning: that is an issue that has been dealt with lots and lots of times and is very contentious. See Talk:Global warming and you can get an idea of what the community thinks about this kind of thing. In the future, when editing about a contentious issue, it's best to discuss your edits first. I didn't know it was contentious. (I failed to read the talk before the edit). Barney Gumble 13:49, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
