Christopher Anthony Willock (born 31 January 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays for Benfica and the England national under-19 football team as a forward.[3]

Club career

Arsenal

Willock joined the Arsenal academy when he was 5 years old.[4] Willock, then aged 16, appeared for the Arsenal first team in a pre season friendly in 2014 when Arsene Wenger described him as a "very interesting player".[5] At the end of the 2015-16 season, Willock scored and provided two assists in a victory over Aston Villa in the U 21 Premier League play off final held at the Emirates Stadium.[6][7] He made his first team debut on 20 September 2016 against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.[8]

Benfica

Willock has signed a five-year contract with Primeira Liga club Benfica on 30 June 2017.[9]

International career

Willock was called up in June 2017 as part of England's squad for the 2017 Under 19 European Championships to be held in Georgia.[10]

Personal life

Willock has two brothers of whom are also footballers, being that of the older Matty of whom plays for Manchester United and the youngest Joe, who's at Arsenal as well.[11]
