"I Have Questions"
Song

"I Have Questions" is a song recorded by Cuban-born American singer and songwriter Camila Cabello for her debut studio album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.. It was released as a promotional single on May 22, 2017, along with a lyric video.[2][3] Cabello performed the song along with "Crying in the Club" in several television appearances.

Composition and release

Lyrically, "I Have Questions" contains themes of abandonment and the acknowledgement that a former companion was not who they appeared to be. While many have regarded the song as a scorned ballad dedicated to a past lover, Cabello has explained in numerous interviews that the song is about a friendship that went awry, adding that she wrote it with one person in mind but that there are other individuals to whom the song is directed. As the song title implies, the singer has many queries for the song's subject.[4] When Cabello announced her debut studio album on social media, she revealed she began writing "I Have Questions" in a hotel bathroom while on tour in 2016, "I was completely broken during that time," she stated.[5] The song was first featured as an intro on the music video for her first single "Crying in the Club",[6] and was later released to music stores and streaming services.

Live performances

Cabello performed "I Have Questions" along with "Crying in the Club" at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards[7] and on Britain's Got Talent.[8]
