Vandalism

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Anode. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --Jay(Reply) 00:17, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It can't be Vandalism if it is true and correcting your errors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.116.113.10 (talkcontribs)
The event in question being your contribution to Anode. I am not disputing any facts, however, this edit, nonetheless, is considered vandalism. I would highly suggest using the associated talk page for making such comments. Thank you. --Jay(Reply) 21:02, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You might find this article about electrodes useful: flow of electrons and polarity I do understand the confusion created by the discussion of polarity of electrodes. Please be aware that polarity is relative to the points being measured. Also, in circuit diagrams the polarities are usually shown opposite from the actual flow of electrons through the circuit - this causes a lot of confusion. The way to clear the confusion is to examine the chemical reactions taking place at the electrodes and determine where electrons are being bound and where electrons are being released.Jonathan888 (talk) 20:55, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you get it. Your facts are not in dispute here. Your behaviour is. Take this debate to the discussion pages of the topic if you want. But DO NOT dump opinion into the articles main page, as you have. There are conventions here, and if you don't follow them you will be brocked. --DV8 2XL 22:17, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JFreeman, I am new to editing Wiki, however, the web site that was added contains the largest collection of ski lodges and accommodations in Breckenridge and is therefore essential to anyone visiting this destination. This site, skibreckenridgecolorado.net equally represents all of the major Breckenridge lodging providers and is not partial to just one company, such as breckenridge.snow.com which is owned and operated by Vail Resorts and is therefore intrinsically biased. Furthermore, breckenridge.snow.com is a promotional web site by a commercial operation providing travel services and packages to Breckenridge with a fraction of the lodging content provided at Ski Breckenridge Colorado since it only represents one vendor. I believe that you are doing your users a disservice by taking a narrow approach and only offering links to two commercial tourism vendors; www.gobreck.com and breckenridge.snow.com and omitting the rest, regardless of value to the end user. SkiBreckenridgeColorado.net is less promotional than the other web sites that you have chosen to list. I noticed that you made these edit decisions in less than five minutes, I am guessing you did not bother to review the current links and the new links I added very carefully.

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Breckenridge, Colorado. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --JFreeman 22:07, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
