Nargis Sethi

Nargis Sethi (Template:Lang-ur) is a retired senior civil service officer.[1][2]

Sethi's last assignment before retirement was secretary of the Ministry of Water and Power. Sethi previously held the office of Principal Secretary to former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani as well as Cabinet Secretary and Defence Secretary of Pakistan.[3]

Sethi holds post-graduate degrees in international relations from Karachi University, defence studies from Quaid-e-Azam University, and a Master of Science in Development Administration from a university in United States.[4]

Sethi is married to Saleem Sethi who is also a retired senior civil service officer.

She was the first woman to be posted as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Defence Secretary, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Secretary Health and Secretary Water and Power. She also served as Cabinet Secretary to the Government of Pakistan.[5]
