Original Wheat Cereal
What does the original wheat cereal mimic? Hyacinth 09:14, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
I believe it is made with Farina, so it is probably mimicing Cream of Wheat. Swmalone 03:44, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Hmm. The website says they are still Toasty O's. However, I did indeed recently purchase a bag of Malt-O-Meal Honey Nut "Scooters". I know for some time they were Toasty O's. It is possible the company has not updated their website. Maybe "Scooters" is just a regional trademark around here. I am not certain. Whether or not to change the article is not my call. I leave it up to the higher powers in the Wiki community. Qaddosh 01:57, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
The original cereal was a hot cereal alternative to Cream of Wheat. It's not the same thing. It's made of malted grain. From the Wikipedia entry for "malted" - Malting is a process applied to cereal grains, in which the grains are made to germinate and then are quickly dried before the plant develops. The term malt refers to several products of the process: The grains to which this process has been applied, for example malted barley .BartBee
=Still comes in bags
Why doesn't the article mention their cereal still comes in bags? It says the cereal came in bags in 2004. As if it's no longer in bags. .... -24.92.41.95 17:55, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
