James Michael Jeffcoat (born August 3, 1959), is a former professional baseball player who pitched in the Major Leagues from 1983 to 1985, 1987 to 1992, and 1994. He played college baseball for Louisiana Tech. In 2002, he was hired as the head coach of the Texas Wesleyan University baseball team.[1]

On March 1, 2018, Jeffcoat was fired after refusing to recruit a player from the state of Colorado. He claimed his reason was former recruits from the state of Colorado would often miss drug tests, also telling the player to “thank your liberal politicians.”[2]
