improvisation?

I would like to know how much of the film was scripted and how much was improvised?

the plot is a man literally improvising his way through a "real life" spy story. That man is played by Bill Murray, one of the most gifted improvisers in comedy. I would guess his first scene at Customs and the last scene on the beach are both Murray babbling away sans script, but now I think about it, how much of the actual plot was other actors just stepping back and following Murray's lead?
