Numbers

Astonishingly, numbers for the troops on both sides are missing. The German numbers are 500 dead, 1995 captured, an unknown number withdrawn to the mainland of Italy. They add up to more than two bataillons. The allied invasion force seems weak by comparison. Some googling also leads to claims that 1100 French were killed. -- Zz (talk) 16:17, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
