Annette Rochelle Lee (born July 10, 1992) is a scriptwriter, director, actress and singer. She is best known from the popular media platform SGAG, and some of her personas "Sue Ann" and "Suezanna Chole Tan" have grown to become one of Asia's most recognisable characters [1][2]. Lee is also a singer-songwriter, recording in Nashville with producers Scott & Ed Cash, and released her debut electro-folk EP in 2017 [1]

Early Life

Prior to joining SGAG, her short films like "Keep Mum" and "Graduation" have been featured in the Singapore Short Film Awards, Cana Film Festival, Hong Kong International Mobile Film Awards [3], and are Lee's way of commenting on social issues facing her generation [4].

SGAG

She was first brought to the attention of the SGAG founders after they came across her blog,[2][5], in which she drew comics and shared stories about her life [6] [2].

Lee first joined SGAG in Jan 2016 to start the video team, but being the only person in the beginning meant she had to do all the multiple video related roles herself[7]. Although the SGAG team has grown considerably since then [8], till today Lee still does ideating, writing, directing and acting in many of SGAG's videos [2].

Music

On 20 September 2017, Lee released her first musical work, an EP titled All Our Achilles Heels; recorded in Nashville with producers Scott & Ed Cash[1], and mixed by engineers Ainsle Grosser and Sean Moffitt[9]. Lee's EP titled All Our Achilles Heels talks about weakness, and is Lee's way of encouraging her audience to confront and accept their own, as well as others' shortcomings; in order to find a more genuine way to live life and love others[10]. Her album was also awarded the National Arts Council presentation grant [1].

In 31 August 2017, Lee released her first music video titled Ready For A Savior on Youtube[11], and followed up with her second music video release on 30 March 2018 titled None Good[12].
