The National Lottery Draws

Gino's Win Your Wish List is a Channel 5 game show that was originally broadcast as Win Your Wish List on BBC One as a National Lottery show from 27 December 2014 to 7 May 2016. It was hosted by Shane Richie.

In May 2018 it was confirmed that Channel 5 had picked up Win Your Wish List for its Saturday night schedule, with Gino D'Acampo as host.[1] The revival will be produced by Stellify Media, which also made Channel 5's revival of dating series Blind Date.

Format

In each episode, a couple have to answer as many general knowledge questions as they ask each other to try to win a list of six gifts they have previously submitted. For each of the five rounds, is imposed a theme. Depending on their affinity with the child, they determine the gift they are putting into play and the role of each member of the couple (who asks the questions and who answers them).

The floor made of slabs in LED is divided into two parts: one red (right) and one green (left). When the time starts, the gauge will slowly and continuously tilt towards the red edge. Each good answer advances the gauge towards the green edge. There are three possibilities:

  • if the gauge reaches the edge of the red zone or is in the red zone at the end of the stopwatch, the gift is definitely lost;
  • if the gauge is in the green zone at the end of the stopwatch, the gift is validated and can only be won by winning the final;
  • if the gauge reaches the edge of the green zone before the end of the stopwatch, the gift is won even if the final is lost.

Lifelines

The candidates have at their disposal two lifelines, usable once in the programme:

  • reset allows the person who answers the questions to reset the gauge when it is too red;
  • the switch allows the person who asks the questions to interchange with his teammate if he is in too much trouble.
