Aristidis Roubanis (alternate spelling: Aristidis) (Greek: Αριστείδης Ρουμπάνης, 10 March 1932, Tripoli – 12 January 2018, Greece) was a retired international professional basketball player and javelin thrower.[1]
Professional career
Roubanis was a member of the Panellinios Basketball Club and its famous 1950s era "Golden Five". With Panellinios, he won 3 Greek League championships (1953, 1955, 1957).
Greek national team
Roubanis was also a member of the senior men's Greek national basketball team. Roubanis competed at the FIBA EuroBasket 1951 and the 1952 Summer Olympic Games with Greece's national team. He finished his national team career with 25 caps, in which he scored 275 points for the Greek national team. He also competed in the men's javelin throw at the 1952 Summer Olympics.[2]
