Andrew Feldmár

Andrew Feldmar (28 October 1940) is a Hungarian-born Canadian psychotherapist and mathematician.

Biography

Born in Budapest into a non-religious Jewish family he and his parents survived the Holocaust. He left Hungary and immigrated to Canada at the age of 16. He hold an Honours B.A. in mathematics, physics and chemistry from the University of Toronto as well as M.A. in psychology from the University of Western Ontario. He's been working in Vancouver since 1969 where he got acquainted with R. D. Laing in 1974 and spent a year in London, intensively studying and training in the practice of psychotherapy under him. During this year he also studied with Francis Huxley, John Heaton, Hugh Crawford and Leon Redler.
