Stefani Robinson (born circa 1993) is an American television writer best known for her work on FX's Atlanta.[1] In 2018, she has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for writing the season 2 episode, "Barbershop".[2] She has won two Writers Guild of America Awards for her work.[3]

Early life

Robinson moved to the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, Georgia from Hong Kong when she was 8 years old.[4]

Career

Robinson started her career as an assistant at a talent agency.[5] After submitting her script to FX, she got her job on Atlanta as they were looking for a female writer.[6] She has received praise yet has been the subject of sexism for her “female” perspective on the show.[7]

She previously wrote for Man Seeking Woman.[8]

Robinson signed a production deal with FX in 2017.[9]
