Eugene Marfo known by his stage name Kuami Eugene, is a highlife and afrobeats singer-songwriter from Fadama, Ghana. He is signed to award-winning record label Lynx Entertainment[1] and is best known for his singles Angela, Confusion and Wish Me Well.

Early life

Born as Eugene Kwame Marfo on 1 February 1997 to Alex Marfo and Juliana Marfo[2], Kuami Eugene’s interest for music led him to sing in church from a young age where he also learnt to play the drum, keyboard and guitar.[3]

Music career

Early beginnings and breakthrough

Kuami Eugene entered the MTN Hitmaker competition in Ghana in 2016 and went on to finish second-runner up.[4] He was signed shortly after the music competition to Lynx Entertainment and has gone on to release several singles such as ‘Boom Bang Bang’, ‘Angela’[5], 'Adwenfi'[6], ‘Confusion’ and 'Wish Me Well'.[7][8]

Artistry

Kuami Eugene has mounted several stages including Sarkodie's 2017 Rapperholic Concert,[9] Ghana Music Honours 2017 Edition, December to Remember 2017,[10] S Concert 2017,[11] the 61st Ghana Independence Celebration Show at Indigo 02 in London.[12]
