Cindy Mi is the founder and CEO[1] of VIPKID[2], an online educational company for Chinese learners of English and one of the leading online educational services in China. She founded VIPKID in 2013.[3] She started tutoring students in the English language at the age of 15.[4] Her journey from a teenage tutor to an Edtech Entrepreneur inspired her to start VIPKID.[5]
Mi left school at the age of 17 together with her uncle. She later co-founded ABC English, a bricks-and-mortar language teaching company, where, from the beginning, she led its business development and campus expansion across China.[6] During the process, she was doing a self-study program learning the English language as well as earning an English literature degree. She earned her MBA at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in Beijing, China. Cindy Mi made education a universal language.[7]
