Carlotta Sofia Montanari , known as Carlotta Montanari is an Italian-American film actress, writer and producer, former TV host. Known for the award winner feature film The Mason Brothers, Being American with Christopher McDonald, Sienna Guillory and Lorenzo Lamas, Parenthood, American Crime Story.[1] In 2013 acted and co-produced Riccione Chi Ama Hollywood, a short film dedicated to her beloved seaside home town Riccione in Italy. [2][3] Growing up she wanted to become a filmmaker, given her early passion for the big screen, the old movies and filming, but later she studied and graduated with Master of Visual Arts at the Fellini's Institute; thereafter she studied journalism and communication sciences. During the studies was invited to join an intensive acting seminary based on Stanislavski and Lee Strasberg. It was at that moment that Carlotta started feeling emotionally free and thought that acting was going to be her lifetime companion and a healing playground. Carlotta has been helping and supporting over the years several charity initiations, events and causes. Supported the America: A Tribute To Heroes charity telethon for victims of 9/11. Montanari performed by hosting various TV shows telethon to benefit Italian Red Cross, Gaslini Children's Hospital, and the global organization Save The Children, and the Leukemia Research. Carlotta is an active supporter of Anti-VAW initiations and Face Forward against domestic abuse. Carlotta Montanari is an active volunteer and supporter of horse and dog rescues non-profit organizations in Southern California such as Dogs Without Borders, Sundancer, Angel's and Heaven Ranch, and WWF.[4]

Early life

Carlotta Montanari was born at Villa Maria Hospital in Rimini, Italy. Her parents got married in 1976 in Rimini, and separated when she was about 7 years old. Due to the separation of her parents Carlotta, along with her brother, spent much of her childhood at her family's countryside home with her grandparents, where she was surrounded by animals and developed a deep connection and respect for animals and nature. Montanari grew up in a household with "little money", spent lot of time with her grandparents especially her grandmother Maria, born in 1929, who since very little Carlotta considered her best friend and second mother. Montanari and her brother attended the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows elementary school, in Riccione. Grew up with a strong passion for animals in particular horses and horse riding. After high school she attended and graduated with Master of Visual Arts at the Federico Fellini's Institute in Riccione, thereafter studied journalism and communication sciences in Rome. Therefore, moved to Rome to study theater full-time and attended Communication Sciences and Journalism at University Sapienza University of Rome while studying theater and working as TV host and at only 25 was the creator of the ethic column called LiberaMente (Free Mind).[5][6]

Voice acting

Montanari lent her voice to numerous film, documentaries, audiobooks and video games. She is voice and motion capture of Sofia Sartor in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Italian translator of Zumba Fitness. She interpreted Damiata Macchiavelli and narrated the audiobook The Malice Of Fortune by Michael Ennis.[7] Carlotta was one of the Italian translators of Soul Surfer by Sean McNamara, The Joneses by Derrick Borte, Flipped by Rob Reiner, The Vatican by Ridley Scott, and other contemporary movies. Montanari is the Italian narrator of the children's DVD series Early Lingo.[8]

Philanthropy

Carlotta Montanari Carlotta is a compassionate animal rights advocate and philanthropist, including helping the less fortunate in her community, WWF, leukemia and MS research, and associations against domestic abuse. She is an active volunteer and supporter of several dog and horse rescue organizations in Southern California. She has supported the America: A Tribute To Heroes charity telethon for victims of 9/11.
