Buntan is a yellow citrus fruit, much like grapefruit. It grows mainly in the south-west of Japan[1]. They are easy to peel but it can be difficult to remove the internal rind. Buntan have fairly large seeds and they taste sweeter than regular grapefruit. They grow during winter time and are a very popular fruit, especially in the Shikoku area.
