Mike Boon (born 1970 in Hastings, New Zealand) is a former stand-up comedian from New Zealand. After establishing himself as a highly original performer and writer of sketch and character comedy, he emigrated to the United Kingdom. In 2003 he performed The Boon Show: Live at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His three star review in The Scotsman newspaper [1] made him, according to the same newspaper, three times better than Sheffield rockers Def Leppard who performed in Edinburgh later that same year. In 2005 he retired from comedy to become a school teacher.
