Plot Dan Holiday, a fiction writer, places an ad in the Star-Times which reads "Adventure wanted, will go anywhere, do anything -- write Box 13, Star-Times." A woman responding to the ad asks Holiday to help her with someone who is blackmailing her. Holiday takes up her case, but it turns out the woman's intention is to frame Holiday for the murder of the man she claims is the blackmailer. Holiday discovers that the woman had actually committed the murder with the help of her husband.
