Ian "John Goodsall" Hart-Stein is a British jazz fusion guitarist most noted for his work with self-proclaimed jazz fusion band Brand X.

Former Brand X band mate Phil Collins owns the copyright to Hart-Stein's more famous alias John Goodsall and has blocked him from using it in his solo career. This explains Hart-Stein reverting back to his birth name in recent years.

Hart-Stein is thought to have committed suicide which his official website would appear to confirm.
