Thanks for the rvv!

ЯEDVERS awards this Barnstar to Alf for unstoppable, unbeatable, anti-vandalism work that I and everyone (who matters!) is grateful for

Thanks for the recent rvv, mate! I appreciated it. ЯEDVERS 19:59, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well here's something Redvers, whilst dealing with vandalism, Bubba (see below), has edit conflicted me more than any other user in the last few days, so BLAM "Mr Alf", VP beats admin rollback on the home connection, get back to work!! --Alf melmac 11:04, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And I've only just noticed this! humbled Although I would have trouble beating you to the trigger at the moment with my network going slower than Orgasmatron at 13.333rpm - even with the extra work you have taken on below. Thanks for the confidence! Bubba hotep 21:50, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A good start to a clean page!

I don't know why the hell I put this straight to your awards page and not here first, but seeing the one above made me come to my senses! So I've moved it here... Cheers. Bubba hotep 20:39, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File:Cadbury Starbar Ireland.jpg You have Barnstars, so how about your first STARBAR?
The Bubba Hotep Starbar is awarded to those whose efforts are widely acknowledged, but deserve to be acknowledged again in a unique way. Here is yours for all the help over the months, and I mean that most sincerely. Top notch. Bubba hotep 20:38, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Full of wiki-protein and marrowbone jelly :) Excellent pun by the way, you are an inspiration!! --Alf melmac 11:08, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it was like this: thinking about a new award, went to the kitchen to roll a fag, lit it, then it came to me like a bolt. Good job there was a free image, really, otherwise you could have had a Barnmars or a Malteser Cross or something. :) Bubba hotep 11:19, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I see you're getting down to some real wikiwork now, tch! Good luck with the FA work, it's looking really good. If I can help, I will. Maybe even if it's just keeping the vandals off (hence not linking it directly here!) Bloody top notch. :) Bubba hotep 21:48, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And, seeing as I can't add any intellectual input, my contributions have been entirely functional - proof-reading down to section 2.4 – until my eyes grew weary! Bubba hotep 22:32, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, those are kind of things that are nigh impossible when you are inside an article, as you may well appreciate. If there's no other points from the peer review I'll have to be getting my arse in gear and get those pictures and then I'll be happy to submit it to FAC. Thanks. --Alf melmac 01:11, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have a read through the rest of it soon and hopefully it won't be taken up on the little things which, as you say, are "invisible" when you are so close to it. Mind, they won't be able to take up on the content either, as it is nigh perfect, IMHuneducated:)O. Bubba hotep 08:25, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Section 2.1.1 ("Hall"), first para – just seems a bit sticky to me, and I don't know how to reconstruct it without either decontextualising it or messing it up completely! Bubba hotep 09:15, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll add that to this list of things that need looking at. It's no small potatoes this lark you know ;) --SmallPotatoes 12:24, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not to your list, SP, my accounts the one for that, you stick to the APR process like a good little pup'. --Alf melmac 13:17, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
groan! I suppose I should contribute to the peer review really instead of clogging young Alf's talk page (as I always do, I bet he is regretting ever putting the {{welcome}} on my page now) :) Bubba hotep 12:33, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Could you do me a favour, old fruit and delete this page for me, cheers. Done a deletion log instead. Wonder where I got the idea for that from? :) Bubba hotep 15:16, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. --Alf melmac 15:24, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers muchly. Bubba hotep 15:26, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

I have been on vandal patrol for the past couple of days and my user page and talk page have taken some abuse. Thanks for reverting the nonsense that 68.69.203.11 left behind. amitch 10:08, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh no problem, vandalism to userspace goes with the anti-vandalism-territory I'm afraid. --Alf melmac 10:24, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey buddy

Thanks for sweeping the vandals off my user page. I appreciate it. =) —Lantoka ( talk | contrib) 10:44, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're most welcome, that ip should be quiet for a bit now ;) --Alf melmac 10:51, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you block him? If I still had the tools, I'd do it myself after what he said on my talk page. Will (Tell me, is something eluding you, sunshine?) 14:07, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well he continued after the warnings, so I duly blocked. Thanks. --Alf melmac 14:09, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot Will (Tell me, is something eluding you, sunshine?) 14:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping out with keeping the vandalism at bay! I do appreciate it! Adam Cuerden talk 16:06, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're most welcome. --Alf melmac 16:06, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar

And FOUR edit conflicts to try and leave them a note to ask them to stop, never had that before!! --Alf melmac 08:28, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page. =) -- Gogo Dodo 08:55, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're most welcome. --Alf melmac 09:13, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops

I didnt see the followup work after tasmania - thanks for your astsute vandal work! SatuSuro 14:22, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shame 31 hours doesn't last longer for them though ;) --Alf melmac 14:26, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps if they tried the tasmania article in uncyclopedia they might find the going even harder - the reverting was ruthless and vicious in the short time i dabbled :) SatuSuro 14:29, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've never edited there, can't say I'm tempted to either :) --Alf melmac 14:30, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I lasted about a week I guess - bit like trying to cope with red link newbies ... sigh I could think of so many qualifying horror clauses, I better stop now. SatuSuro 14:49, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He makes a good point...

Block editor User:Icanimaginemyselffuckingalf blocked by admin User:Glen S Length: indefinite "Abuse of our Username policy" - neither can I really??? ;)  Glen  12:26, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure whether to mumble something about 'sick puppies' or 'oooo admirers' :D --Alf melmac 12:35, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't you be at work?
