Ariel Waldman is an American artist, space exploration enthusiast, Antarctic explorer, youtuber and author based in San Francisco. She is the global director of the Science Hack Day[1], for which she has been awarded grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Found. She is also a member of METI, and part of the external council for NIAC[2]. In 2013, Waldman received an honor from the White House for being a Champion of Change in citizen science[2]. As a YouTuber, she includes in her channel[3] videos about her 2018 journey to Antarctica to research extremophiles, as well space exploration and science popularisation.
