Lapat Ngamchaweng (Thai: ลภัส งามเชวง); popularly known by the nickname Third is a Thai singer, actor, endorser and model.[1] He is a member of the Thailand boy group Nine by Nine (9x9 or 9by9) and former artist of the Kamikaze.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

Early life and education

Third Lapat was born on 24 November 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand. His mother's name is Ketsara Limpananon. He is the youngest of three siblings, having two older sisters named Larisa (Lily) Ngamchaweng and Larisara (Biba) Ngamchaweng. He attended New Sathorn International School and is now studying in the Faculty of Communication Arts at Chulalongkorn University.[8]

Music career

2013: Career beginnings

Third Lapat from an early age was interested in acting, but later chose to start a singing career. In 2013, he joined Kamikaze, a huge record label in Thailand. He took music classes for two years before releasing his first single.[9] After learning music for around two years, he joined Kamikaze’s YouTube Channel, where his career started.

2014–2016: Single debut and collaborations

Third released his debut single song "Reminder" on August 27, 2014.[10] He participated in singer Thank You's song called "Following" on December 4, 2014.[10] His single "Just One Word", was released on June 4, 2015.

On August 10, 2015, he released a single "Hidden Love", collaboration with Marc Kamikaze.[10][11] His single "Stay", was released on March 9, 2017.[1][1][12]

2016–2017: Rising popularity and acting role

In January 2016, Kamikaze’s official YouTube channel uploaded the single song "Love Warning" which was sang by Lapat in collaboration with Sarina Ruttana. The single became an international hit with more than 130 million views, counting in 2017. Lapat became a national teen icon following the roaring success of the music video and many other offers poured in, including acting offers. He got signed on for one of the leading parts in the romance drama series 21 Days, I Love you.[13]

2017–present: NINE BY NINE

Third left the Kamikaze group in 2017 and became a member of 9x9, a newly founded Thailand boy idol group under 4nologue, formed on February 2018.[14][15]

Acting career

2012: As a child actor

Third made his acting debut in 2012, as a child lead actor in the Thai remake of Romeo and Juliet.[16]

2017–present: Leading role debut and career

In 2017, Third starred as a leading role in the romance drama 21 Days, I Love You, which was aired on February 23, 2017. The drama storyline is about a girl who is in love with Third's character, so she makes a love potion and a bunch of crazy things starts to happen.

In 2018, he starred in the Thai series In Family We Trust, playing the role of 'Tao'. In 2019, he starred in the Thai love series Great Men Academy, playing the role of 'Nuclear'.

Advertising/ Brand Endorsements

He has appeared in commercials for many advertisements including McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Ovaltine, Splash, Siam Ocean World.[17]

Personal life

His hobbies include singing, playing football and watching boxing matches.[1][18]
