Carla Azar is a drummer from Huntsville, Alabama, USA.

She has been in various bands including Ednaswap and most recently Autolux. Autolux formed in 2000 and released their first record, "Future Perfect", on DMZ Records in November of 2004. DMZ was started by T Bone Burnett and the Coen Brothers. Autolux consists of two other members: Eugene Goreshter - lead singer, bass player and Greg Edwards - guitarist. In 2001, Azar shattered her elbow at the end of a long fall from a very high stage. After several doctors told her that the fall had been catastrophic to her drumming career, she underwent a successful surgery to reconstruct the bones in her elbow.

Carla did a small tour of Japan with Vincent Gallo in 2002 to support his record "When". In 2005, Carla played on T-bone Burnett's latest solo record along with legendary drummer Jim Keltner and guitarist Marc Ribot.
