The Kincade Fire is a currently active wildfire that started around 9:00 PM on 23 October, 2019 in Sonoma County, California, east of Geyserville. As of 9:30 AM on October 24, it had burned 10,000 acres, and was 0% contained.[1] The fire had been fueled by 70 MPH winds, which had been a cause for PG&E power shutoffs beginning the previous day in the area surrounding the fire. As of 10:00 AM on October 24, hundreds of people across an area of 60 square miles have been evacuated, including all residents of Geyserville.[2] Two evacuation centers were set up in Windsor High School and the Healdsburg Community Center.[3]
