Nulled is a popular online forum board with hundreds of thousands of members[1][2], mostly used by cyber criminals to trade and purchase leaked or hacked information.[3][4] The forum is popular for its data breach (in 2016) which helped law enforcement to obtain information about possible "suspects".[1][4][5]

Security Breach (May)

On May, 2019, Nulled was hacked and its database leaked.[5] The leaked data contained 9.45GB of users personal information.[6][7] The leak included a complete MYSQL database file which contained the website's entire data.[8] This data breach included 536,064 user accounts, their PayPal email addresses[2][9], along with cracked passwords[10], 800,593 user personal messages, 5,582 purchase records and 12,600 invoices.[4] The data breach also exposed email addresses hosted on government domains.[1][5][11] The identity of the crew that took down Nulled's database is not known but it is believe that that state-sponsored hackers were involved.[11] It is believed that the security breach originated from Czech Republic.[12] Another article credits a Romanian group called "Smurfs.gg" responsible for the breach.[13]

Vulnerabilities

Security researchers identified that the forum used software and plugins with critical vulnerabilities.[14]

Hacked accounts

The website is also famous for hosting the sale of illegally-obtained Fortnite accounts.[15]
