London Buses route 5 is a Transport for London bus route operating a 10 mile[1] route between Romford and Canning Town, it is operated by Blue Triangle, this route is the most frequent route during the morning peak. As of 2019 it was the 11th busiest bus route in London with 11,289,392 journeys.[1] It was also the second slowest, averaging 9.2 miles per hour in 2016.[2]
History
On 14 May 2011, the last Routemaster, RML2760, operated a special service for charity on route 5 between Romford and Barking.[3]
