Kampatimar Shankariya (1952 - 16 May 1979) was an Indian serial killer.

Biography

He was native of Jaipur in Rajasthan state of India and was born in 1952.[1][2]

He was 26 years old when we was arrested. He confessed that he had killed at least 70 people in 1977-1978 for pleasure. He used to hit his victims with hammer on neck under the ears which gained him moniker Kampatimar. He was convicted in early 1979 and was hanged at Jaipur on 16 May 1979.[1][2][3][4][5]

He repented and his last words before being hanged were: "I have murdered in vain. Nobody should become like me."[1][2]
