Aurora Tower

The Aurora Tower is a skyscraper in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is the tallest building in Brisbane and one of the tallest residential apartment complexes in the world. It is larger than the Riparian Plaza with 69 storeys (219 metres high) and comprising four floors of 18 penthouses, 54 skyhomes (two storey luxury apartments) and 408 apartments. Aurora will be the first residential tower in Australia to utilise iris recognition technology, and will also feature a heated pool, entertainment area and cinema for residents. Aurora Tower is to open to the public on May 5, 2006.

The Tower will be near central transport links such as the Central railway station. The Tower will also be close to shopping areas such as Queens Plaza, Queen Street Mall, Wintergarden and Elizabeth Street all of which feature shopping, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.

Other Brisbane landmarks such as the Story Bridge, Central Plaza 1 and Brisbane City Hall will be visible from inside the tower.

In a few years this building will be surpassed in height by the construction of Emerald Tower and Vision Tower.
