Robb was subsequently cast in two major 2005 films; playing Opal, the lead character in Because of Winn-Dixie, and Violet Beauregarde in director Tim Burton's remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. "Winn-Dixie" did fairly well at the domestic box office, grossing $32 million,[1] but "Charlie" was a major box office success, grossing a total of $206 million and raising Robb's popularity among pre-teen audiences.[2] She has also been a guest star on the cartoon show Danny Phantom, as the voice of Danielle "Danni" Fenton.
Robb's upcoming films include Bridge to Terabithia, a fantasy drama opening on February 16, 2007, playing the part of Leslie Burke and acting opposite Josh Hutcherson, The Reaping, a thriller scheduled for March 30, 2007, and the adventure Doubting Thomas. She has been cast opposite Cayden Boyd, Lara Flynn Boyle and Denise Richards in the 1960s set drama A West Texas Children's Story, playing one of two children who are faced with neglectful parents. Filming will take place in New Mexico between September 27 and November 5, 2006.[3]
