Since it was never released, would it be legal to post download links here? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nishaddatta (talk • contribs) 20:28, 4 March 2007 (UTC).
- No it wouldn't as it is all copy written material. This is an "encyclopedia", not a site to share links.--Hndsmepete 22:41, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
If the album has never officially been released, how does the album have a Parental Advisory sticker? Especially since the Parental Advisory sticker was introduced in the 90's. truthbealiar
- Promotional copies were made & distributed, and preliminary LP covers were made & sent to the band members, which is how they found out about it and requested it be cancelled. Distribution copies were then destroyed. So there was cover art, because Caroline was ready to release it (in fact the artwork is one of the alleged things that Danzig objected to). The cover image here came from the official Misfits website (click on the image to see the source link), so I assume it's legit. 12 Hits from Hell was supposed to be released in 2001, so it makes perfect sense that it would have an advisory sticker (2001 being, of course, after the '90s). --IllaZilla (talk) 17:25, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Cancellation
Additional information beyond the reasons for cancelling the release of the album stated in the article, however of unknown accuracy and validity, can be found here: http://www.angelfire.com/darkside/misfits12hits/faq.htm
Critical Opinion
Re: this quote... "Jason Birchmeier of Allmusic gave 12 Hits from Hell three stars out of five, saying "This isn't an essential item and will probably appeal mostly to the legions of Misfits fanatics, who will no doubt savor these long-unreleased recordings. Many of these songs are available elsewhere."
Jason Birchmeier is obviously a stupid cunt, and who gives a flying fuck what Allmusic has to say? Why do they get to put their worthless opinion in every fucking Wikipedia music entry. Fuck those guys. It's a misuse of this forum, and where they have nothing to add (as here) their bullshit should be removed.
