Hello, I just edited the "Judiciary of Sweden" page, and updated the information concerning judges. The information on the pages is very outdated, and simply wrong in a number of places. The sources is obv. not up to date. I can't cite a source but since i am an practicing judge i didn't think it necessary. Sorry for trying to correct missinformation on wikipedia.

What do you suggest? SPI? They're clearly not a new user (though probably were just a few weeks or months ago) and have started out right away looking to block another user (perhaps an admin, it's hard to read). You have more experience than I do, but I have trouble seeing any way this person will ever be anything more than a time sink. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 16:11, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

==== Isle of Man Covid-19 Page

====

I note you reverted my edits of 22nd April to the Isle of Man Covid-19 page, of which I appear to be the primary current maintainer having been the sole updater of the stats for the past couple of weeks. I don't like doing it, I'm not a willing Wikipedia contributor or editor because it is such an awful environment to edit*, but it was out of date when I found it and whoever set it up has clearly not taken on board their responsibility for ensuring it is current and factual.

Anyway, reverting published and referenced official information is not best practice, the information published by the Isle of Man government and in Isle of Man regulated media is of importance to the Isle of Man population. Please do not do it again. If you wish to challenge statements or information given out by Isle of Man government, ministers and regulated media then please explain your dispute with those statements you consider to be controversial on the page. I do not expect to have to reference by timestamp the specific statement within each Isle of Man Government daily briefing livestream & video, ministerial tweet or ministerial facebook post - they're not "original research" and they're all available for anyone to see. Alternatively, the Isle of Man Government daily briefing given by government ministers and officials at 16:00BST or shortly after each day is livestreamed and is recorded for replay on Youtube and the websites of several media organisations; it is the Government's primary broadcast channel of communication to the Isle of Man populace on the matter of Covid-19 and you can watch it and use the information given to keep this page up to date or rely on subsequent regulated media reports of the same - it contains many statements on the minutiae of Gov't policy on the management of Covid-19 which are not otherwise expressed in any public Government written statement.

  • I've no idea who designed the Wikipedia mark-up system - but had they never heard of SGML?? We have global standards for a reason, it means we have had since 1986 a common "language" for mark-up of document content.
