Comment: This is potentially a notable organization, but the current draft doesn't demonstrate that via the sources. Please see WP:SIRS for what we need. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:12, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

StoveTeam International is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 that provides improved cook stoves to people in developing nations in Latin America.[1] According to the organization, it has been responsible for the distribution of over 76,300 stoves to date.[2]
History
Founder Nancy Sanford Hughes witnessed the health effects of open-fire cooking firsthand while volunteering with medical missions in Guatemala.[3] In response, Hughes gathered support from her local Rotary club[4] and contacted experts in the field of improved cook stoves to design the Ecocina, a stove specifically designed to be produced and used in Latin America.[1]
Operations
StoveTeam assists local entrepreneurs in Latin America to construct their own factories to build and distribute Ecocina cook stoves.[1] StoveTeam has started factories in Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.[5]
Press and Awards
StoveTeam's work has been featured in Forbes,[6] CNN, [1] and National Geographic.[7] For her work with StoveTeam, founder Nancy Hughes has been honored as a United States White House Champion of Change,[8] and a CNN Hero.[9] StoveTeam has been awarded the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Special Achievement Award in Developing Local Markets,[10] a Rotary Service Above Self Award,[11] and an Atlantic Philanthropies International Purpose Prize.[12]
