Blue Oak School is a private school in Napa, California. The building was originally built in 1909, and called the Washington Primary School, in the 1950's, it became the Napa County Offices, and it was renivated in 2002 and renamed Blue Oak School by Lisa Cort and Tracy Schuler wife of Barry Schuler) (they are still currently on the board of trustees and their children attend the school). The current Head of School is Scott Duyan.

The Blue Oak School is a non profit, independent day school for kindergarten-eighth grade. The School emphasizes authentic assessment, small class size and an excellent alternative to the Napa County Public School system. Students excersise all subjects in very progressive ways. The school also teaches progressive education with tours, and other things.

Students practice things such as practicing and performing the annual "Pageant of the Masters" school show (modeled after the "Pageant of the Masters" production in Laguna Beach, California) in music and art, and producing and selling items in the school farmers market, held twice a cemester.

Blue Oak School also includes after school classes, such as the "Soundwaves" and "Encore" choirs, in which are open to students to in other schools around the area.
