Teenybopper
Teenybopper is a mildly derogatory term which refers to a preteen/early teen, perhaps of middle-school age. It is often used in the plural to collectively describe that population. It first came to prominence in the late 1960s when there began to be increased awareness of marketing music and fashion specifically to that age group. It refers to both girls and boys, but is weighted towards girls because girls tend to be more elaborate in their attire (jewelry, makeup, etc.) and tend to be more emotional in their adoration of their musical idols.
As time has gone on the term may have been used to refer to a stereotypical type of fad-conscious teenager, perhaps a girl who wears skimpy clothing (and other icons, such as tattoos), while a male teenybopper might tend to favor the outfits worn by popular macho artists of the day.
Some pornographic websites have begun using this term to refer to actors who look to be in their teens.
