Michele Morrone (Italian pronunciation: [miˈkɛːle morˈroːne]; born 3 October 1990) is an Italian actor, model and singer, appearing in both Italian and Polish films. His most recognizable role is the performance of Massimo in the 2020 erotic and romantic drama 365 Days. He is married to Chelly Villoen,they met on the set of 365 Days and fell in love at first sight.

Early life

Morrone was born on October 3, 1990, in Melegnano, Italy. His father worked as a construction worker and died when Morrone was only 12 years old.[citation needed] Morrone studied theatre at the Teatro Fraschini Di Pavia.[1]

Acting career

He started his career by doing small roles in theatre plays. After gaining experience in the field, he started playing lead roles in the theater. He acted in 'Il tempo di una sigaretta' and was featured in a drama show named 'Che Dio ci aiuti'. In 2012, the actor got selected for a lead role in 'E la vita continua'. Some of his projects include Sirene, El juicio (The Process), Come un Delfino, Renata Fonts, Squad 6, Medici. In 2016 he took part in the eleventh edition of the Italian version of 'Dancing with the Stars' (Ballando con le Stelle), where he placed second. In 2019, Morrone got a chance to play the lead role of Luigi in 'Bar Joseph'.

In 2020 Morrone became internationally famous after performing the lead role of Don Massimo Torricelli in 365 Days. The film was released theatrically in Poland 7 February 2020 and was subsequently made available on Netflix. It quickly gained world recognition, particularly due to the erotic scenes that resembled the themes in the 2015 film Fifty Shades of Grey.[2]

Musical career

Morrone is a professional guitarist and singer. He released an album titled Dark Room which has several songs featured in the official 365 dni soundtrack including one of his most famous songs, "Feel It", that has scenes with actress, Anna Maria Sieklucka (Laura Biel), from the film in its music video.[3] The album was released on the 14th of February 2020 and contains the following 10 songs produced by label company, AGORA S.A.: "Hard For Me", "Watch Me Burn", "Do it Like That", "Rain in The Heart".,[3] "Feel it", "Dark Room", "Dad", "No one cares", "Next" and "Drink Me".[4]

Morrone has gained over 573,000 subscribers and 52 million overall views on his channel (as of June 24, 2020). He joined YouTube on January 16, 2020. The most viewed video on his channel is the music video of "Feel It" that has gained 23 million views.[1]

Personal life

Morrone married Rouba Saadeh, a popular designer, in 2014. He has two sons, Marcus Morrone and Brando Morrone. Morrone and Saadeh divorced in 2018.[1]

Morrone went through a rough patch following his divorce. He wrote, "A year and a half ago I was about to leave everything, I didn't want to act anymore. I was in a severe state of depression after divorcing my ex wife. I found work as a gardener in a remote village of 1000 inhabitants because I had no more money in my pocket." He added, "But life is strange. When you're down destiny puts the right train in front of you and if you're strong you can take it. Always believe in yourself... ALWAYS."[5]
