Dan Kwasi Abodakpi (born February 27,1950) is a Ghanaian Politician and a member of the Fourth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Keta Constituency in the Volta Region.[1]
Early life and education
Abodakpi was born in Keta in the Volta Region of Ghana on February 27,1950.[1] He attended the university of Pennsylvania and obtained a Degree in Doctor of Philosophy.[1] He also attended the University of Ghana and obtained his Bachelor in Science.[1]
Politics
Abodakpi was first elected into Parliament during the December 1996 Ghanaian General Elections on the Ticket of the National Democratic Congress for the Keta Constituency in the Volta Region of Ghana with 32,258 votes out of the 33,330 valid votes cast representing 84.10%.[2] He contested again in the 2000 Genaral Election and won with 25,090 votes out of the 27,598 valid votes cast representing 90.90%.[3] He maintained the seat in 2004 with 26,803 votes out of the 30,631 valid votes cast representing 87.50%.[4]
Career
Abodakpi is a chemical Engineer by Profession and was a member of the Fourth Parliament of the Fourth Republic Of Ghana for the Keta Constituencyfrom 1997 to 2009.[1]
