Natalie E. Brown is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Counselor, who has served as the Chief of Mission and Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Asmara, Eritrea, since September 2016.[1] In 2019, she was nominated to be the Ambassador to Uganda.[2] And the nomination was confirmed on August 6, 2020.

Brown earned a B.S from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1988 and was awarded her M.S. from the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College in 1999.[2]
