Morgan Geekie (born July 20, 1998) is a Canadian ice hockey centre currently playing for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL).Geekie also holds the NHL record for points per game.
Playing career
Geekie was drafted 67th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. On May 10, 2018, he signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the team.[1] While playing for the Charlotte Checkers, he helped the team win their first Calder Cup during the 2018–19 AHL season.[2]
On March 7, 2020, Geekie was called up to the Hurricanes and made his NHL debut the following day against the Pittsburgh Penguins.[3] In his NHL debut, he recorded two goals and an assist in the 6–2 win.[4] On March 10, 2020 Geekie scored his third goal on only the third shot of his NHL career.
