Ajijesh Pachat is an Indian, novelist, short story writer and columnist.
Career
Pachat was born as the son of Krishnan and Shobana in Pallikkal, Malappuram, Kerala.[1] He wrote his first short story when he was a school student and started publishing stories in Malayalam weeklies during his high school and college period. His story 'Theevrashapam' (The extreme curse) was published in the magazine Chandrika. In February 2014, he became a runner-up of the short story contest for his story ‘To X-ray under 16.[2] Pachat published his first collections of stories, Kisebi in 2016.[3] His Daivakkali (God's game), short stories collection, won the Geetha Hiranyan Endowment by Kerala Sahitya Akademi in 2017.[4][5] His first novel Ezhampathippinte Adya Prathi ( The first copy of the seventh edition) was published in 2019.[6] He has worked at The Indian Express and in Pen books.[7]
